Ali’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, as well as fiduciary and trust disputes. She has represented, on both sides of the docket, trust beneficiaries, directors and shareholders of corporations (both individually and derivatively), members of limited liability companies, mineral owners and individuals and families in a wide variety of matters including, but not limited to, matters involving claims for: breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, tortious interference, business disparagement, aiding and abetting, fraudulent transfer, negligence, conversion and insurance coverage. Ali has also represented companies seeking to prevent the public disclosure of trade secret and commercial data.

As a first year associate, Ali was the lead associate on a trial team representing the widow of the co-founder and 50% owner of a nationwide, family-owned restaurant in a case where the other side of the family was attempting to cut our client out of the business and had secretly funneled millions of dollars to themselves through improper compensation and payments to wholly-owned entities. The team obtained an eight-figure settlement on behalf of their client at a second mediation that occurred one week after filing the lawsuit.

Ali already respects the unique nature of disputes between family members and business partners. She places substantial value on understanding the specific priorities of her clients and is mindful of the fact that these matters usually involve highly-complex personal and business relationships that do not exist in a legal vacuum.
